Driver Well-Being and Productivity
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be very challenging for a Rideshare driver because of the nature of the job. Driving over the roads all day long can be an awesome experience, but what isn’t awesome is what driving that long can do to your health. In general drivers increasingly face health problems caused by bad diet, lack of exercise, and too little sleep.
A 2014 survey by the U.S National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health revealed that transportation workers have the highest risk for chronic health problems of any occupational group. They can encounter heart attack, stroke, fatigue, exhaustion, and more in their daily duties.
Rideshare drivers aren’t exempt from those health problems based on the amount of time they put behind the wheel. Driver well-being is all about eating healthy, exercising, and getting enough sleep. This course will help you to develop better health habits.
